About Us It all started one Sunday afternoon in the fall of 2005 when my hubby was working on our landscaping. I was in my kitchen doing my normal chores when my hubby suddenly appeared with this white furry thing in his hands. He exclaimed that this dog approached him while he was working and decided to bring him in to show me. We found "Snowy" and discovered that he lives in the neighborhood so we promptly called his owner to let her know that her "Snowy" had gone astray and found his way to our yard. Later, we discovered that "Snowy" was a Westie Terrier and that he only lived a couple of houses away. As soon as I got home after returning “Snowy”, I felt a strange and overwhelming feeling of loneliness. Being empty nesters now for almost a year, I found myself thinking … "why not have my own?" ![]()
So my research on dogs, prices, behaviors, illnesses, etc. starts ... I decided I would become a Yorkie owner. Searching for one wasn't easy but I finally found one in the same city just before Thanksgiving. With my daughter home from college for the holidays, we all went to see our Yorkie in the Spokane Valley. It was ove at first sight! We took our little Yorkie home and named him "Tiger" after Tiger Woods. My hubby is crazy with golf just as I am with Yorkies.A few months later, I went on a search for my second Yorkie. "Tiger" seemed lonely so I decided to get him a female Yorkie companion. I finally found one in Colville and visited her. She's adorable and I can't wait until June to get her. Remember my hubby, the crazy golfer? As it turns out, I am going to name my second Yorkie "Annika" for Annika Sorenstam (again, another golfer). ![]()
With all the love I have for my new found babies, it was then second nature to start creating things for them. I didn't realize that a lot of tiny breed lovers would actually be interested in the products that I’ve created and sewn for Tiger and Annika but I guess I was wrong so here I am now, and go.fetch™ is born! |
